To Write from the Heart

Feelings on paper, the shape of
depth from within.

Eyes witnessing life, sweeping
down to the deepest self.

To write from the heart.
One must first have a dream.

Never letting go of that dream
even when obstacles threaten to
damage the path.

To write from the heart.
One must never tire of taking in
knowledge.

Learning about life and about
ourselves.
Experiencing the treasures life
brings.

To write from the heart.
One must expand the
imagination.

The boundless realm of creation
within ourselves, should never
be shut away.

To write from the heart.
One must exercise the ability to
become oblivious to our
surroundings.

To lose ourselves in the words.
To become the paper being
written upon.

To write from the heart.
One must appreciate life.
To look upon our life as a
marvelous gift.
To look upon the earth as a
priceless wonder.

To write from the heart starts
with a dream

Then taking in knowledge about
life and learning about ourselves.

Then exercising and expanding
the imagination.

Then learning to become oblivious to our surroundings.

Then last is having an appreciation of life.

To write from the heart takes
all of the above.
Leave one out is to be lost
without words.
