An Urban Legend

Never stay out at night.
When sun sets down, stay home. Sleep tight.
For creatures small come out to play.
Seeking for human on their way.

But if it ever happens and you meet.
Try really hard never to speak.
For its your voice that they will steal.
And they’ll try anything, my dear.

They might sound like baby cries,
Or like a woman’s desperate sigh.
But beware, all sounds are lies.
Its just those devil’s in disguise.

Pointy ears and eyes of gold.
Sharp nailed teeth and touch dead cold.
Tongue, blood red and hands of claw.
Oh, how terrible they are.

And if you meet, say a prayer
God they fear, so don’t be scared.
Cause with your fear they can grow strong
And they will steal your heartbeats song.

So if you want to play it safe.
Stay at home, when out is late.
For they wake to play their game.
Seeking for human on their way.

At least, that’s what the elder say.
