The Bleeding Child ( Behind Closed Doors)

He is standing in front of her bedroom door.
It's locked and he turns the lights off.
As if he doesn't want to see ,what is about to be done.
The child is curled upon the bed,
'cause she knows for what he has come.
And there's no way in making him stop.

She can see his figure move slow
as he comes close to the bed
he sits near and she can smell his alcohol breath.
So heavy and so cold
He reaches out his hand,
To touch her once again.

Her body aches but she tries to hide the fear.
And bury the tears from her eyes.
If she screams, he’ll beat her, so she keeps it inside.
She smells the sweat on his body,
It makes her sick.
How many more nights must be like this?

As he begins to touch her there,
Her eyes close tight
Wishing she could die…

I often wonder, how can someone be so vile,
To find satisfaction in the body of a child?
How can someone be so sick and ruin a child’s life?
How can someone destroy a child’s mind?

Every house/family has its own deep dark secrets, which are kept locked tightly inside some rooms. But we ( the outsiders) fail to see, since most of the times what we see is what they choose to show us. you might live years with your next door neighbor and not really know who they really are and what they do.

This poem takes a small peek behind some closed doors of some homes and what is hidden deep…

I'm not saying all homes are like this. But some are. And I believe we should take a closer look, maybe that way we can be able to help…
