Gone With The Wind

Our love has gone with the wind,
Carried away with the leaves.
It got mingled along,
With a storm, so strong.

It has spread across the sky.
Torn in pieces, now, hard to find.
Its impossible to catch.
Like fools, we sit and watch,

As it dissolves into the air.
As it becomes an unknown prayer.
So easy to lose faith.
So hard to stay in place.

Our love has gone with the wind,
Like a story unread, like a picture unseen.
Such a terrible scene,
To watch it go so easily.

Now with the breeze it flows.
Where to? Nobody knows.
Traveling across the land,
Not knowing where it will stand.

Maybe it will land upon the sea,
Or hide in a hollow tree.
Maybe like a lost balloon
It will rise up to the moon.

Our love is lost in the world.
Hard to be seen, hard to be heard.
Like an unspoken melody,
No one wants to sing.

How easily it was let loose,
By fools.
Who really had no clue
How much it was worth.
