Here is Looking At You, My Love

‘Here’s looking at you, my love.’
He raised his glass and said.
Staring deep into my eyes.
This moment I wont forget.

Only those words and nothing else,
Just swept me off my feet.
I felt a chill run down my spine,
I felt weak in the knees.

How strong those simple words did feel.
So strong, they stopped my breath.
I swear, if I don’t wake from this bliss,
I’ll end up soon being dead.

No golden gifts, no diamond rings
Are worth of what I feel now.
I guess it’s true, the smallest things
Are the things that really count.
