You Were The Only One To Follow

When I chose a road to walk alone
to prove that I could make it on my own,
everyone laughed, they said I wasn’t strong.
They had no faith in me at all.

That put me down, it made me weak,
I cried so hard I could not speak.
In them, I almost did believe
That it’s impossible to dream.

But only you did not agree.
You came and sat right next to me
and told me that you did believe
In my little reverie.

That gave me strength to carry on.
And you know what? i proved them wrong.
And thanks to you, my dream has won
And I no longer stand alone.

Cause I fought my way through a world so shallow,
And you were the only one to follow.
And for this I thank you my good friend,
For showing me that dreams can never end.
